Lourensford Estate

Easter Weekend saw us tootlin' off to Lourensford Estate again. Covering the entire mountain behind Somerset West just outside Cape Town, the estate is enormous and teeming with all sorts of industries like logging, fruit and grape farming, wine making and bee keeping!

Pity the rain would not stop, but we had some lovely drives with great technical sections that saw us getting very stuck and very muddy! Great time was had by all - but i think an investment in a pair of gum boots would be a good idea!

Here is a picture of us camping on the side of a trout dam on the farm last year. It is freaky weird because of the developing, but whatever.

Clay Stockpile in Rondebosch

You may have seen the huge clay and sand stockpile outside Sportsmans warehouse in Rondebosch due to the nearby construction site ? - well - this became the playground of Pepper several times last week!

Andrew finally made it into the middle and successfully navigated his way out, while I had visions of my Honda Ballade having to organise a recovery mission!
A picture of Pepper's in the middle of the stockpile, which took a lot of bashing to get out again.

I don't think the car guards had ever seen something like this before! What a fun play ground! Except for the fact that Pepper bent her spare wheel carrier which now does not close properly. A grinder and welding machine will have to be let loose soon.

From now on a list of damages incurred at each outing will be included. Just for interests sake...
